online sites
In an effort to become better informed of my surroundings I am looking for web sites that post "Criminal Activity". I have found the FBI, US Marshals List of fugitives. Does any one know of site/sites that do local reports. I have looked at all my local LEO web pages only the sheriff Dept. shows some limited info.

Does your local paper print a "police blotter?" These can be interesting. They are usually just a log of 911 calls, but can give you an idea.

This is true. My local newspaper posts a section of police calls every day. Surrounding cities and counties. Most area newspapers here are online now and free.

Kansas City Star online edition has an online crime page with a forum where people can post, comment and follow local crime.
Maybe your local online newspaper edition has something similar.

At least one of our local TV news stations has a crime map on their website. Try there.

Google CrimeView and Crimemapper and see if your city or department posts this information
