Since she is the mayor doesn't she have the authority to find another insurance company, or appoint somebody to do so? She should get quotes from several companies just to make sure the current one isn't hosing them.

Just another example of a politician making policy on something they have no clue about and no good will come from it.

That seems to be happening a lot since January. It seems that many politicians have aquired an epidemic disease of stupidity and it started back in January.

There seems to be no cure.

As each felon exits prison...it straight to "PayLess Shoes" (the running shoes section), and then to the gun runner...yep, all set.

Somebody should tell her that law enforcement is a non profit enterprise. If she can't deal with that concept, quit!

So if I rob the local bank, all I have to do is run from the scene and I'm home free. Nice to know.

I hear the local high school Valedictorian has no pressing engagements. That'd be a step up.
I think my son would be a perfect candidate. He's almost 8.

    But you missed this one
Good! The cops don't care about the innocent citizens they run over in order to catch a shoplifter.

If the cops didn't abuse their power, this kind of order would never be necessary.

No, it's been around a lot longer than that.

    Absolutely SHOULD be.

OTOH, I know of places here in Virginia (and maybe this is one in SC) where law enforcement (i.e., traffic fines) is the major, if not the sole, source of income.

    BTW -- see http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulle...ed-ticket.html

For a bit now, the thought (that the scenario, police-as-fund-raisers, may be applicable to this thread) has been running through my head.

I like the policy.... She didn't say you couldn't shoot'em. Just don't "chase" them. No need ot chase after someone on the ground. Just walk over casually to observe the situation. Should give ample time to delay and ensure they are dead... no more crime and will save lots of court dollars. Of course unemployment will rise, no courts, no lawyers, no judges, clerks out of jobs... new crisis!
