Keep your butt down and never volunteer for anything.

I don't know if you'll return, but I hope you do, and with no more ailments than some flat feet and weight loss. Thank you for being willing to cash a check our politicians write, with your blood.

Good luck and God bless. You'll be in my prayers.

I have a strange inkling to go out and buy socks now.

While JD was over there that's all he wanted... socks.

Stay safe and come back to us with all your fingers and toes... oh, and alive would be nice, too.

    Thanks again everyone.

I certainly plan on keeping all my fingers and toes and a pulse, Patton had a quote about that I believe.

Sorry, but That State Up Norths team doesnt stand a chance this year.

Volunteering if for the new guys, now I just volunteer them and "supervise" their progress, as it is the most important troop leading step.

    Prays got you covered.

You cover your brothers' ... and may they cover your ....

Speaking of prayers, don't know if it is still around but here's one you might like:

    The Marines' Prayer
Almighty Father, whose command is over all and whose love never fails, make me aware of Thy presence and obedient to Thy will. Keep me true to my best self, guarding me against dishonesty in purpose in deed and helping me to live so that I can face my fellow Marines, my loved ones and Thee without shame or fear. Protect my family. Give me the will to do the work of a Marine and to accept my share of responsibilities with vigor and enthusiasm. Grant me the courage to be proficient in my daily performance. Keep me loyal and faithful to my superiors and to the duties my country and the Marine Corps have entrusted to me. Make me considerate of those committed to my leadership. Help me to wear my uniform with dignity, and let it remind me daily of the traditions which I must uphold. If I am inclined to doubt; steady my faith; if I am tempted, make me strong to resist; if I should miss the mark, give me courage to try again. Guide me with the light of truth and grant me wisdom by which I may understand the answer to my prayer. Amen
See you when you return safely.

Take the fight to them, take care of your Marines and lead with Honor, Courage and Commitment.

That is the goal Sir, as much as the ROE's let me. The Marines with me truly are my family, I've got a good tight knit group, the way it should be for us grunts.

DaveH, I haven't seen that prayer since Boot, thanks for putting it up.

    Take care.

May our enemies be killed before they have a chance to fire.

May you have all the support you ever need.
