Might be a new series for them, but the war has been over with for years for us down here.

    I agree.

But, I think people should be constantly reminded just how bad it is and what our CBP officers have to endure...day in and day out.

It looks like an interesting program - I just hope it is not anti-gun. Mexico has always had so much promise, and it is always just beyond grasp due to corruption. I fear the Cartels will drive it into "Failed State" status, and it'll be like having Somalia next door.

Two semesters ago I was assigned a research project. We decided to do the War on the Boarder. As I recall, one of the statistics that kept popping up was the number of deaths. Something like 4000 in 4 years. Another statistic my research group gathered concluded that illegal immigration and drug trafficking were costing the US (in the neighborhood of) 1 trillion dollars ANNUALLY! Back then, we said "that's enough to buy every student in California a nice laptop." Now, I think I would just have to say, that's as much as Obama spent.

What bothered me the most, is that the people I was giving the presentation to live in Northern Arizona. These folks live literally a few hundred miles away from where this conflict is taking place, yet none of them had the slightest clue it was going on before the presentation. I hope this series will wake some people up as to what is going on.

    My final thoughts are these:

Stopping illegal immigration is like taking Advil when you have a brain tumor, it might stop the headache, but it won't cure what is killing you. Instead of giving foreign aide to Africa and other places that have quite literally no beneficial effects to our country, we need to invest real money into fixing Mexico because that is where real terrorists are breeding.

Just a new program about an old story...our border's revolving door.
The last Blood Moon Tetrad for this millennium starts in April 2014 and ends in September 2015...according to NASA.

I agree, good thoughts, but waking people up, people in high places know what is going on down here, they just turn their heads and ignore it, it's easier that way. A lot of peoplel know what's going on, it's easier to look away and ignore it. There are a variety of reasons for the ignore button, not dealing with it, money, bribes etc...etc... the list goes on.

Patti - I agree with you 100% on taking care of our people doing the job on the border and ensuring they are protected and taken care of.

War of the boarders, indeed. More's the pity. A problem so easily solved; a responsibility so willingly shirked.

    Didn't you hear?
The war is over, Mexico won.
    We had General Janet Napolitano.
