Actually in many places take home cruisers are a negotiated part of the total compensation package and it is taxed as such.

Don't soldiers pay for their uniforms? I know my dad used to grumble about paying for his uniforms...

Yes and no. Very basics are provided, but its much more convenient to purchase a few more sets on your own dime.

For police, it depends on the department. Some pay all, some give an allowance and some dont pay for squat.

It's nothing new, Port St. Lucie has had alarm permits all along. It's a cost of having an alarm. Get over it. Is $10 too much to have an alarm system?

Protect your investments, even if you have to get a cheap $10 permit. Cut back on the cigs or beer for a day or two to cover it. You'll save more than the $10 on your HO insurance.

When I see ten cops setting up a speed trap in my neighborhood, I think, "Why can't they drive through my neighborhood? I only see them when there is a speed trap."

    Or kick the bums out.
It's time the decent people of this country took it back!

Next year it will be $100.
