    Looking at career with DEA

Hi everyone. I am 20 years old and currently a full time college student. I am joining the army after this semester and I am looking to finish my degree while I am in the army. Once i get out of the army, probably in 8 years or so I will be looking at working for the DEA. Does anyone have any experience or helpful tips that would benefit me when applying with the DEA? I will be getting a degree in criminal justice. Thanks everyone in advance for the help.

I wouldn't get a CJ degree. They are a dime a dozen. Get something that sets you apart.

any four year degree will work. go over to the dea web site to see what all you will need to do. it can take several months to go through all of the steps. that is if you past each one. it is not easy and many wash out along the way. some don't make it past the interview, most fail the pt test, etc.... pm me if you want more info.

Buddy of mine is in DEA. He likes playing with all the high-tech toys.

But realistically, eight years is quite a long time. And at your age, attitudes change dramatically. So, I would be remarkably surprised if you still felt so strongly about this in 8 years.

Good luck and thanks for serving this great country.
