    Wow, that thing is quick!

I have a Exomag Limb model(no wheels) from Excaliber, bought in '02
It is plenty fast @ around 325fps.
It has taken 5-6 deer. Very accurate.
If you cannot find what you are looking for, I don't think you will go wrong with any of the manufacturers these days.

Dicks and Gander Mtn. have packages for as low as $200+.

    Good luck.

Thank you. Like I said, looking for advice. I'm used to using 'boom sticks' but now want to go this way.

You might want to check out the Horton Ultra-Lite Express and save yourself some $$$. It's excellent.
I was shooting one in my neighbors backyard and I was very impressed with it. MSRP seems to be a couple of hundred smacks less than the Barnett.

Crossbow technology has certainly reached its apex.

My old crossbow was a recurve bow.
Slower (of course) than these much fancier and more complex jobs and naturally wider also but, it was simple and never had any function related issues.

If I were to go back to a crossbow I'd be looking at the Horton Fury or Havoc.

Very compact and the balance is phenomenal compared to a traditional crossbow.

On of the local shops here has them much cheaper than Cabela's.

Hey Anglico - Are you going to carry that crossbow IWB or OWB, and who makes the best holster for it.
