    WTS/WTT Colt Defender carry setup(NC)

I am looking to sell/trade my Colt Defender for something non-1911. I found that while I love my Defender, I prefer something non-1911 as my edc. The Defender is not new, has some wear, but is still going very strong. The grips are aftermarket wood grips. The base of the gun where the grips screw in has some bad scratching under the wood grip due to trouble removing one of the original grip screws. This is barely noticeable unless you remove the grips. There is one old original grip screw that stripped and is still in the gun, I just never got around to having it professionally removed, this should be a simple job for a do-it-yourselfer, or a gunsmith, it does not affect the function of the gun at all. Gun performs flawlessly. I am including the aftermarket wood grips, the priginal Cold Defender combat grips, the original Colt factory magazine, a Wilson Combat magazine, a K&D Dakota Defender IWB holster, and a K&D mag carrier and blue colt factory shipping case.

I am looking for trades preferably, I need something for concealed carry, or reasonable cash offer. Trades preferred. I will answer all pm's and questions, and consider all offers. While I prefer to trade, I am open to an outright sale, just make a reasonable offer please.

I have sold guns in this forum before and have positive feedback in the rating thread.

That would help. PMed an offer, nonetheless.

    Thank you.

My apologies. I forgot to add in there what type of trades i was interested in. I am looking for a decent firearm for concealed carry. My defender is my edc and I am looking to trade that is somwehat on par with what I am trading, or sell it outright to finance a new edc purchase from the store. I am interested in any current generation glock compact or subcompact (g26,27,29,23 and especially the G30). I am including the holster and mag carrier from k&d with it, so something similar would be appreciated, but not a necessity. I am basically looking for a concealed carry piece that can stay on me whether I am in the house, the city, biking, or out in the woods camping. I have been leaving my defender at home when I go out to the woods and taking the j-frame because I am afraid of my Colt getting nasty and malfunctioning, so I want something a little more rugged?..... Not that the defender isn't rugged, but well something like a Glock or an M&P or something similiar.

Thanks for the pm's everyone. I was planning on a trade rather than a sale, but I saw something at the local shop that caught my eye, and now I am more receptive to an outright sale, though a trade is definitely still feasible. Shipping is not a problem for me.

Anyone have any suggestions on a fair price to ask for this setup?

Feel free to make a reasonable suggestion on a price or an offer.

    All pm's answered, still available.

After a quick look on gunbroker, I see Defenders are going anywhere from 700-850 used. Mine has some scratches under the wood grips from some grip screw trouble, and has the old stripped grip screw still in it, easy fix though. I would take some money off for those problems, but I am also including a Wilson Combat magazine, aftermarket wood grips, and the K&D holster and mag carrier. The holster and mag carrier alone cost me 125. So, I am thinking 650 + 30 for shipping for a total of 680 shipped would be a reasonable number. That would put the gun on the extreme LOW end of the gunbroker auctions, but would also include the extras and shipping to offset the grip screw and scratches. The screw would be easy for a do-it-yourselfer, or cheap for a smith to do.
