    Anyone Durham PD?

If anyone is Durham PD, I've got a few questions. Waiting on the word for my son to head to academy in August. So far, no news is good news. No reason to believe he won't go but then.... My questions are easy. Want to confirm that you guys carry full sizes M&P 45's, not mid-sized. And I'm told that you're authorized to use the light rail w/3 different manufacturers lights. Looking for which ones. I suppose what holster you might hook up with if using one of those 3 lights.

I'm selling an H&K to get in to a M&P 45 so he can get trigger time (and I get a new gun). Just want to move in with the correct information.

You can PM me if you'd prefer and take it off line. Thanks.

I'm not a Durham PD member, but I strongly recommend that you don't give your son "trigger time" Not now anyway. Let him learn what he needs to learn in the academy, less experience is better this situation.

    Echo SIXTO.

I quit shooting a month before I went to the Academy and tried to get what I knew out of my mind... and I shot the best in my class. ;-)
The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

They'll teach him what they want him to use once he gets into the Academy. I wish him well, I started my LEO career in November, 1969, retired in January 1984. One bolt of lightning and my career was over. My how time flies.

    Thumbs up

Yup, good advice, cold turkey him on shooting. Police marksman instructors are top notch. No bad habits, proper techniques, etc. Let them teach him departmental policies regarding the use of duty weapons.
May we never forget those in uniform who protect us night and day in lands far away. And those in all wars who paid the supreme sacrifice in defense of our country. May God Bless our Troops and First Responders.
