Where to shop in Las Vegas?

    Hi,
I'm heading to Frontsight tomorrow in Pahrump, NV. I need to load up on ammunition when I land in Las Vegas. Anyone know a place or two you can recommend that has good inventory and prices suitable for range ammunition?

    Thanks.

I can't help you out on ammo. We brought all of ours - drove - so it was no problem.
Enjoy Frontsight - we sure did. We were out there about 6 months ago.

Any of the tourist ranges can be a real crapshoot and even Walmart can be iffy depending on which store you check. The ammo pipeline hasn't completely opened back up here the way it has in other states. New Frontier Armory in North Las Vegas is run by a couple of great guys but it may be more of a drive than you're interested in :-) They're open until 7pm on Fridays but I'd call to make sure they're stocked up on your chosen caliber (New Frontier Armory - Firearm Sales, Transfers, and Consignment or 702.479.1470). If you don't want to go through North Vegas there's a Bass Pro Shop in the Silverton Casino on Blue Diamond (the road to Pahrump). I'd call there too just to be sure they're stocked up

Thanks guys, I am staying near the Bass Pro store at the Southpoint hotel. Man, LV has a lot of Walmarts! How about Discount Firearms?
I really wish I could drive, the airlines limit me to 11 lbs which about 1/2 of what I need.

There are several Different shops in town I would reccomend and a few that I would avoid at all cost. There is a shop right by the Bass Pro that I would avoid like the plauge! What exactly are you looking for. Citidale has some good deals on bulk ammo, discount firearms also has some deals on ammo from time to time. You should also check out American Shooter. Last time I was in the had some decent prices on PMC bronze.

If you let me know what you need I can do some looking for you and let you know what I find. I usually the three shops I mentioned every week or so.

    Kind offer....

Thanks Back 40... that's a kind offer you extended. Unfortunately I will be in LV tomorrow afternoon, Thurs. the 8th.
I will make a note of Citadel and American Shooter. I need about 600 to 800 rounds of 9mm and about 200 to 300 of 45 acp.
The responses have been a big help in planning my rush shopping spree tomorrow afternoon and into the evening (until I find the ammo) Keeps me away from the gaming tables .....

I was in Discount Firearm yesterday and I know that have bulk 9 and 45. Check there and Citidale. They will be the best for ammo. If you need any accessories I would say check American Shooter.

If you get over to Discount Firearm let Gaza know that your headed out to Frontsite and he might cut you a deal. He spends alot of time at Frontsite and has worked some killer deals for a guys around here

I hope you have a great time!
