Around Bend I think. Is it a very gun friendly state? Will I have a problem bringing a suppressor? A ccp in oregon has a lot less reciprocity with other states than my Arkansas ccp.

Other that the reciprocity issue, Oregon is very gun friendly (outside of Portland/Multnomah County). CHL's are shall-issue, open carry is legal, state has preemption, no waiting period. If you want to buy a firearm you have to pay the Oregon State Police $10, as they handle all the background checks by law.
As for the suppressor, I don't have any experience in that area. Might be worth giving Bend's sheriff a call and ask. Certainly wouldn't do any harm. (541) 693-6911

Bend area will be very gun friendly(like Dleavitt said, anything out of Portland metro area/I-5 corridor is). While OC is legal and the state has preemption, there are still a few weird rules about only OC if you have a CC license in Portland and a few other cities. Still not sure how that works, but whatever.
I can't be any help about the supressor either, sorry.
Walk softly ...
Will I need to reg my guns there?

I am finding a lot of hoops to jump thru, I just moved from Az to Redmond Or and you have to get Or. DL. to prove your a res and they are not sure if I will be required to take a class even though I have had permits in several other states. The other thing I found out is if you move from one county to another you have to get a new permit from your new county plus I will have to get a non-resident permit from neighboring state because Oregon does not honor most other states permits so they return the favor. So lots of hoops and paper work and I hope this is my last move, getting to old to bounce around.
