Not sure how COL compares to WI but it's not considered high. MS is extremely gun-friendly, except no OC. Weather in coastal MS: sauna-like, with an occasional hurricane.

It's hot. But it's a damp heat. Must issue state with restrictions on where you can carry. Can take a class and do away with most restrictions. Gun friendly state. No wait on firearm purchases. Low cost housing. High priced auto tags. High priced home owners insurance. Overall I like here. Been here 11 years. If you don't like the heat you might want to reconsider.
