    Lightbulb Nuke workers, check in!

    Hey all,

I've noticed in various threads that several of us are involved in the nucelar power industry, be it employed by a site, or a roadie like me.

Who else have we got here?

My only connection to Nuke energy is the day after eating Mexican food...does that count?

    Nuclear Power

I spent 20 years in the nuclear power program in the navy (submarines) but not since I got out. To political for my blood. Does that count?

    Close enough.

An HP once told me that Nuclear Energy Plants use the energy for good and Nuclear Weapons Plants use it for bad.

I told him that it would depend on your point of view or which end you were on...

Yep, you're at ANO. I think I told you that my company doesn't have that contract anymore, I'm sorry to say. So far this spring I've got Turkey Point, but will probably have one or two more.

1st job out of college was as a civilian nuclear engineer at GD/EB in Groton on subs.

Left that job due to disgust with dealing with Adm Hyman Rickover and his petty BS after 3 years.

Worked for Stone & Webster pushing paper for nuke plant construction. Then over to Yankee Atomic Electric as an I&C engineer for Yankee Rowe (RIP).

After TMI the political BS got too much and I quit and went into computers.

    Now I am one.

    Does that count?
