I tried to set one up last year and nobody was interested.

Husker - I actually signed-up there and after doing a bit of reading, really wasn't pleased with what I read. Half the threads on anything HK-related ended-up with a bunch of blanket hating and bashing of HK owners. Everyone seems to hate 'desert shooters' too and lumps them all into the same group. Maybe I missed something but thats what I saw so I never bothered with a post. *shrug* Its a shame too because I would have loved to come to a BBQ.

Let's do it again! I'll bet we could get a good sized group together for a shoot and BBQ. The weather down there is nice for another month or so at least. (anything below 115* is nice enough to shoot a bunch!)
Phoenix, Prescott, doesn't matter to me.

ArizonaShooting.com is mostly made of desert shooters, heavy on Class III. All my weekends are full, but I'd vote to head north to Prescott or Flagstaff. It's already hitting 100 here! We're having to drive 40 miles out of town due to restrictions. Table Mesa is almost halfway to Prescott.

I'd be down. I know of plenty of places around here to do a BBQ or if someone wants to tailgate, we can BBQ at a shoot location.

Table Mesa is good times but its getting a little hot for that part of the desert, but I am up for anything. I don't know anything about Flagstaff's available areas.

Sign me up for a weekend BBQ anytime. Beginning of the month works better for me.

It now costs me a hundred bucks to drive to Phoenix from East Tucson to say nothing of North Phoenix!

Maybe we should break down our shoots by zip code or public transportation

Plenty of night shooting around Maryvale and South Phoenix. It's cooler then. City buses run to both areas...

    I have an idea...

Let's get all the people who don't want to get together in AZ along with all the people who don't want to get together in FL and have ONE HUGE...a "Let's not get together luncheon..."
I suspect that 'hundreds' won't show...

Although it would most likely be good training, I really prefer targets that do not shoot back. When added all up the "Range Fees" could also wind up being excessive

Like I said, I'm up for anything. Any members like Rex or people from Flag, we can all carpool off the rim into Phoenix and do a shoot at Ben Avery or something. I honestly prefer Table Mesa, though, so we can practice drills/do whatever and maybe do some BBQ. hehehe

You guys want to set a date, I'll be there as long as its a weekend.
