    Need help - MI DC'ers

I'm not sure if this is DC appropriate, so MODS feel free to deletificate if not...

I'm moving back to Michigan here in about 3 weeks (first week of Jan) and am in need of a job, much like the other million residents of the state...

any michiganders out there know of anything around the ann arbor/detroit area? I'm willing to take pretty much anything that pays. PM me if you can point me in the direction of a good possibility.

    Thanks and Merry Christmas!

hey welcome back to MI. I'm in the Ann Arbor area as well.

It might help if you posted a resume or indicated what field you're looking for or expertise you have.

In the meantime here's some helpful links for you:

Welcome back, and don't forget to bring a shovel with you :) Just kidding. Hope the move goes well. We could REALLY use a few more level headed people in this state. You will enjoy the LARGEST number of states that share reciprocity; of any state in the Union.

It is seriously tough here in Michigan with the job market. I have been searching for months now with no luck, and barely any bites.

Going back to MI...are you nuts?

Well if you are that convinced it's a good move, you might as well look for a job in the auto industry and be sure to buy a BIG house, too! (I believe there are some great deals.)

Get a grip on yourself, man...MI is a dead end. (Speaking as a retired Michigander.)

I'm here and noone can find work. Every labor is quite competitive. I'm fortunate for the time being. I'd seriously try to find other options than coming here.

Good luck on getting a job!

Don't come to michigan, the job market is grim, hardly any openings and those few that open up get swarmed by the hundreds
