The only way I know of to get range time is to come back my way and go to the indoor range I belong to. If that's the case let me know. If the temp is as good as it has been we could shoot at the outdoor range where we can shoot full house loads. The indoor range is limited to any handgun load under 1000fps so you would need reloads. .22s Are the exception.

In response to the PM from Hitchking: Luncheon on the 30th in the Albany area is fine with me. It will be nice to meet some fellow members in person.

OK, so now the question is where... and what time?

I wold invite all to my range in Saugerties, but it's now closed for deer season.

I have invited all to mine in Johnstown if you want to shoot. The weather is supposed to be mild and there is plenty of room. We could find a place close for lunch and go to the range.

    Hey Rott,

That may be a little to far north and west for me, for Monday. Maybe we should pick a place as originally thought somewhere in the capital district.

I'm on my way to Idaho now, but, as you can see, certainly "reachable".

    Later,
    Jonathan

Let me know time and place from lunch. Cheesecake, Grand Lux, dont care as long as it is not spicy. Anyplace. I sent out a couple of PM to NY members who had a few recent post. Did not think a member who signed up 2006 with 2 posts wanted to join us.

Sig Man asked me to keep him in the loop.

Two places mentioned earlier are both right off the thruway and only a few miles from each other.

Both in Malls off exit 24... Standard is in Crossgates Mall and Cheesecake is in Colonie Center Mall.

    Menu: Welcome

    Hope this helps.

Wife and I do NOT eat out often so I have not been to either place.

Since they are both chains maybe some of you have a preference or other choices in mind.

The only thought I have is to the time... Since both are located in malls 12 noon would be busy. Also If coming from LINY leaving at or after 9:00AM might be a little easier than in the rush hour traffic ?????? EXIT 24 is around the 140 mile mark NYS Thruway.

Votes for time... Mine is 1:00 PM or later
    + or - ????

1pm works out good for me also and I am up for whatever venue as long as they have good food and service. Are any of you bringing wives or SO's?

I would need a weekend and somewhere a bit closer to NYC.
Anybody interested in doing a LI one in January?
We could do a morning shoot in Nassau and then have breakfast.

I was hoping for later time so 1:00 pm is fine. I did not have to wake up at 6.00 am for the trip.

To Matt. Yes, I am up for Jan meeting as well.
