Born in Granite Falls (smack between Hickory and Lenoir) but married a Texas girl while in the AF. We had 3 children, all born in Texas, so when retirement time rolled around, I was outnumbered. I'm a transplanted Texan but still proud of my NC roots, as you can see from my Login name.

Its about 45 minutes east/souteast of Raleigh......... about 15-20 min. west of Goldsboro just off 70 hwy.
When I don't shoot in my back yard or my parents back yard, I shoot at WT's Guns in Rosewood. Good range.

Four Oaks here, but so far out may as well be in Newton Grove in Sampson County.
I usually shoot in my "back 40;" working on setting up an IDPA classification range out there...

A native! Born in Lincoln County, raised in Charlotte, lived in Greenville, Winterville, Raleigh and Wendell. Retired from the Raleigh PD 11 years ago and don't venture over there unless necessary. Fifteen miles away is close enough.
