New member from Louisiana
I'm ALSO a PDO 'refugee'. After PDO declined into a kiddie-fest, a few members recommended that those of us that were interested in a more mature forum move here.
I open carry just about every day, much to the disdain of many LEO's in my area. Minor harassment aside, I have been active lately contacting local and state officials trying to get them to enact specific legislation that clarifies the fact that open carry is legal in Louisiana. It's already legal, but having specific legislation on the books would prevent much of the harassment of open-carriers that goes on in this state.
anyhow, I am very pro-2a, pro Constitution, and pro-carry.
See you all on the forums.

guess I should add the following:
My carry pistol of choice is an early-model Walther P99 (with the original 3-state trigger) in 9mmLuger.
I exclusively use DoubleTap 115gr 9mm +P Gold Dots.
I am a ballistics junkie, and I reload my pistol and rifle ammo.

Glad to see you over here Crashvector. I just made the move, too. I do remember you doing a great job trying to get a straight answer from the LA (that's Louisiana, folks!
) officials.

I'm still trying. I had a meeting with David Vitter about a month ago. While i wasn't too productive as far as actually getting anything DONE, it was productive in regards to the fact that I am making the voices of us in Louisiana that choose to exercise our Right to Keep and Bear Arms without having to pay the state yet another tax in order to enjoy a freedom that should be just that...free.

thanks for all the welcomes, guy (and gals if it applies).
I still post at PDO under the screen name "Dealer31". My main decision to move was that my original "CrashVector" account was hacked, and no one is trying to help me get it back....even after repeated emails.

yeah, i got busy quickly..lol
BTW...I have a Ruger P95 Limited. Great gun. The return assembly on mine got damaged while I was cleaning it. I need to send it back to Ruger for repairs.....other than that, and it was MY fault, the gun has been flawless.
