I just became the owner of a 3Rd Gen. Glock 23 last week and plan on getting my CCW soon. I've been going to the range to get a feel for it and have been enjoying my time getting acquainted with it; it already feels like a trusted friend. I have some limited experience with guns but this is the first hand gun that I have bought. I have some limited experience plucking around with my 10/22 and occasionally I will shoot clay pigeons with my Remington 870 Wingmaster and have relative success with both (they are good guns) but have never been able to hit anything with my old Smith&Wesson .38 Special. I hope to become proficient with my G23 and can't wait until I can start carrying it on my person.
I have been reading this blog for the past week and have already learned a lot. I appreciate the time the more knowledgeable men take out of their day to post useful information that we all can benefit from. It's exciting to learn about all of the various facets that are a part of being a responsible CCW carrier and I hope to learn all that I can to be not only a responsible citizen but a true agent of protection for my family.
I hope this finds you all doing well.
Grace & Peace,

I love only that which they defend.
Welcome,Usually S&W 38 spl revolvers are really good shooters,If you haven't had any formal handgun training you might invest in some classes to help you become a better shot, and that way if you have any bad habits
