Greetings
Hey, new to the forum and wanted to introduce. I'm from Indiana and just bought a Rossi .357 2". First time out shot some Hornady .357 125 grain, and after two shots gun jammed. Hammer and trigger locked up. Also, I had to tap the cylinder pretty hard to get it open. On this same day shot Winchester.38's with no problem. Since, I bought some Federal .357's with 158 grain, and it shot fine. I went and bought a box of Remington 38 +P 125 grain goldens, and plan on trying those out tomorrow. Is it the gun or just that particular ammo? Thanx.

Is the gun new? If not you might check the cylinder to see if its been cleaned properly. there have been instances where people have not run a brush threw the cylinder and it leads to a build up nearest the cone and can cause problems.
With all that being said it sounds like the timing might be off on the gun. But thats just a guess.

Welcome to the DC Forum from Delaware!
Clean the revolver and see how you do with the other ammo. If the gun works well with the other ammo, I'd stay away from the one that gave you a problem. Some guns do not like certain ammo for one reason or another?
