New in Ohio
Hello,
Over a period of 6-8 months i've read a number of posts on this and other defensive carry forums and found the various discussions helpful in deciding what gun, holster and belt to purchase. Having benefited, I thought i'd finally join a site and possibly help out the next guy.
To make a long story, short and a case for defensive carry....
I went from living in a situation where carrying a gun would have never crossed my mind, to moving to an urban area for grad school and having two different encounters within 3 months where being armed would have been much more valuable than the luck which saved my butt. The first was an attempted break in of my apartment where the thug rang the doorbell, and tried to bust down the door with his shoulder. The second incident occurred while lost and turning around at a well lit gas station only to have a thug try to open the driver's side door of my car while i was creeping thru the lot. I've sense read extensively about concealed carry, taken a class, obtained my license and i safely carry everywhere permissible by law.
Carrying a gun is like having a fire extinguisher in your home. You hope to god you never have to use it, but if you should, you're mighty glad you have it.
