Hello from Westchester County
Cool site!
I realize that this might not be the proper area and time to place a thread of this nature. I recently applied for a target permit for a couple of guns that my dad willed me after he passed. I left them at a local gun shop while I went through the permit process in Westchser County. I had 2 misdemeanors one in 1988 (I was 17) and the other in 2005 (bar fight). I just received a denial on the permit due to " The applicant failed to demonstrate the requisite judgement character and temperament necessary to obtain a pistol license".
My question is should I appeal this with a lawyer? If so does anyone in Westchester County know of a Lawyer that specializes in this sort of thing?
Thanks in advance,
R
