Things don't change very quickly here but so far we recently put a conservative government back in place, they are a minority government which makes passing new bills difficult at times.Originally Posted by snowdoctor

This wouldn't be a giant leap, but a small step in the right direction. Unfortunetly, parliment is closing for summer holiday so we will have to wait until late summer/early fall for this bill to be voted on. In the meantime there are many firearms owners here doing their part to letter write and remind out reps to vote for this bill.
From the other side, the local Antis are looking forward to what comes out of the UN meeting on small arms control. Toronto is fearing another violent summer and the lib media is slowing going back to their old ways at saying we need more laws to complicate legal owners lives.
Ill keep you guys posted as it develops.
