Welcome to the best defensive firearms website on the internet in my opinion. Happy to have you here. If you stick around long enough I'm sure I will have some questions for you too, as I am interested in the cultural differences and the difference in defensive mindset between our two cultures, and the role that government should play in our defense of life and property.

Welcome from South Carolina...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

Glad to have you onboard, at DefensiveCarry. What might be particularly interesting to many of the posters here is what it's like in France for people who want to shoot firearms, or who want to carry them. A good topic for another discussion.
Welcome aboard From Arizona. The wild, wild west. Maybe you could shed some light on how Europeans view us Yankees and our guns. I for one take my firearms seriously.
Hello and welcome from Ohio! I must say, i was pretty surprised to see the title of the forum, but glad to have you! Welcome, and stay safe!

Here in France it is impossible to carry firearm (except some really really special and rare situation), for knife the law say that you can carry just folder knive without possibility of "fixing" the blade, no double edge, no fixed blade... but in county you can take more liberty than city.
Personnaly in city I carry a Benchmade Gripptilian, a leatherman Wave, and some time a neck made by a french knife maker Tony Lopes.
In my county in Forest I carry different type of fixed blade, without problem -> I'm alone :D
I can talk more about the fact that the French government make our lost of the WW2 so fast...and more but maybe I create a topic later.
That's my point of view, protect my family and myself is really essential, Yes the police is here to protect, but how long time they take to came in my house if a BadGuy come to robe, rape, kill??? I prefer have more options than a sheep against a wolf
Sorry to be so long and not really political correct but I'm like that.
