    Newbie from the UK

    Hi all,
first off, as I am from the UK, unfortunately we are not allowed handguns, nor are we allowed to have any firearm for self defence (we can but dream!).
However, I do work in a branch of law enforcement, similar to the US I.C.E. I own numerous firearms and shotguns for recreational purposes including most forms of hunting.
Before I post anything further, I just wanted to ask if it would be OK for me to join this forum

Thanks Spencer, that was a quick reply :)

I was just wondering if any of your forum mods have any objection to me joining?
If not I'll post a little more about myself, my interests and the 'toys' I own ;)

Welcome to the forum, there is sure no reason why you shouldn't join. Actually, you won't be our first international member.

Yep, I've heard a rumour that foreigners are allowed!

And BTW, welcome from the host city of the 1994 Commonwealth Games!

    nice one, cheers all,
well as promosed, a bit about myself. As in my profile, I do work in law enforcement in the UK, the UK Boarder Agency. Its a bit like the I.C.E. We go out and find illegals, arrest them and try to remove them. As with all LE agencies in the UK, we are not armed.
However, I do own an umber of firearms and shotguns for recreational use.
These include Remington 700P (PSS) .308 , Rossi underlevers in .44mag and .357mag, CZ .22lr, BSA Martini Action .22lr, Pedersoli .410 Rolling Block (inc permission for solid slug), Mirokou 12g O/U, Browning 12g GTI Ultra Sport and a Beretta RS202P pump action 12g (inc permission for solid slug).
Sports wise I am in to all forms of target shooting and I enjoy all forms of hunting, especially deer stalking which I use the Remmy for ;) The Remmy is a bit special. Its fitted with T8 moderator, and has interchangable scopes (fixed 20x Edgar Bros for target and Meopta fixed 7x for stalking), mounted on Leopould quick release mounts. Here are some pics
