Cool Common interest is a pretty strong bond (at least most of the time)

I have been around firearms for better than 40 years. I am not saying that to make myself appear to be some sort of expert, just to say that I probably come with a long term prospective on firearms in my life. During that time things have changed. (duh) I built my first and last, rifle when I was 10. In that effort I learned more about gun safety than 50 classes could have taught me. I didn't have a clue how a gun worked. On my 21st birthday, I woke up and drove to a gun store and bought a High Standard Natchez. My first handgun. I thought that I could limit myself to one .22lr, a .357, a 30-06, and a 12ga. When that changed I can't exactly say. But it did. So here I am, an aging gun guy. I'm interested in seeing what I can learn and what I can contribute here. I'm not usually so long winded. So, Howdy all.

    Thumbs up

    Welcome Ennis!

I'm actually amazed at the diversity here, in spite of the common bond. It usually makes for fairly interesting discussions.

    Welcome from South Carolina...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
