New guy with questions
I bought my first gun the other day. I used guns when I was in the Navy, but I've not owned one until now. It's been 20 plus years and I've forgotten a lot, so I've got questions. If you respond to any of my questions I would appreciate a little reason why you're qualified to answer.
I just bought a Taurus TCP 738 .380 and boy do I like this little gun.
Please, help me understand why i'm tending to pull my shots a bit low (I'm practicing at 7 yards).
What does ACP stand for?
What does +P stand for?
Is there an extended magazine for this gun? (Mostly to be able to get another finger on it).
Thanks, Troy

Welcome Troy from the Garden State.
ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol)
+P (more powder...higher pressure/compression than the standard load for a specific cartridge)

Welcome to the forum
ACP = Automatic Colt Pistol
+P and +P+ ammo = overpressure ammunition (see Overpressure ammunition - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and SAAMI pressure specs). +P is a modern SAAMI-specified standard for maximum pressure, while +P+ is loaded above SAAMI specs for +P ammo.
SAAMI = Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute
Not all firearms can handle +P or +P+ ammo. Read the firearm’s Owners Manual or contact the manufacturer and ask about it before using any overpressure ammo. I do not know about the mag extension, I am not a Taurus person.
Check the following chart, it might help you understand why you are shooting low:

EDIT: I forgot to say that the chart assumes you are right handed. Thanks for pointing it out rstickle

Welcome from South Carolina...If you will google "Taurus TCP 738 extended magazine", you will find the information you are searching for.
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
