Blessed be the LORD my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight. PSALM 144:1
I CLING to my guns and my Bible.
As for the reloading, I figure I'll give it a go. I've watched a lot of a guy on Youtube I highly admire: Hickok45. He is a Glock fanatic and reloads, though he never shoots lead through his Glocks since that's a no-no. I figure since my Glock is used anyway, I won't worry about voiding the warranty. Might even get an aftermarket barrel. . .
Thanks again, all!

Welcome from Knightdale, moved from N. Raleigh last year.
I'm surprised your CHL is taking so long in Wake County. Sheriff Harrison generally runs a pretty tight ship and is pro-2A. My permit took exactly 14 days to process, but that was in 2004.
My renewal in 2009 went through smoothly as well.
Maybe they're seeing a big increase in applications, and that's causing a backlog.
"Terrorists don't seem to be too afraid of stern language. But I do notice, that while the fear of death does not seem to deter these people, the fact of BEING dead does significantly decrease their operational effectiveness. "

You have never lived until you have almost died. For those that have fought for it, life has a special flavor the protected will never know
