Took the CCH class on January 21, 2011. They said it would be at least 10 weeks before I receive my CCH permit, and so far, this has proven an accurate estimate.
I've been a shooter/fan of shooting since the age of 4. My Dad, a former Marine and a LEO, taught me about firearms and self-defense from an early age.
Bought my first gun, a Sig P226, in 2004.
I was an occasional range-goer until my Dad passed away in 2010. I have since inherited his collection, and I've suffered a serious injury from a motorcycle accident, so while I am healing and contemplating whether to ride again (bike was not damaged), I have gotten back into shooting and guns. Bought a Glock 30 SF a couple months ago, and I've shot about 500 rounds through it so far. Love this gun!
What I really wish I could do is find a free place to shoot. Not so easy here since I don't know anyone with oodles of land. Range fees are pricey.
I'm also starting to get into reloading.
Any info you all might be able to provide would be much appreciated.
-Mike

Welcome from South Carolina...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

I got luck it only took me 23 days to get my permit last year.
