Welcome from South Carolina...Be sure and look over Cornered Cat and also LimaTunes (look her name up in the member directory ) on this site has her own Facebook link and you tube videos...She is VERY knowledgeable on issues that pertain to weapons and self defense from a woman's perspective.
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

    Welcome from Texas!

Another vote for the Kahr, even though they can be finicky. Walther maybe be a good way to go. Have fun shopping...

Welcome from New Mexico! I have a Glock 27 .40, and the grip is fat, like you I have small hands, but a rubber sleeve from lone wolf on the grip took care of that... however, I hear the Gen 4 is out and it's narrower (I think)... for deep conceal, you can't beat a single stack like Kahr, though... that's what I carry, except in 9mm

Welcome aboard Sara from the East Coast.
Check out the springfield emp 9mm. Pricey, but very nice.

Welcome from SW Ohio. Find a range that rents firearms and shoot as many as you can to see what fits you and what you like before you buy.

Greetings from VA....via Germany. Lots of good information here...Recommend seeking additional training beyond the basics (after you've mastered the basics).

Welcome from Michigan. Get what works for you. Pistol or revolver. Talk to others and make your choice.
