Hello from South Mississippi
First of all, hello to all the forum members. I have read a lot of topics and have learned a great deal from the knowledgreable feedback given. I am fairly new to the world of pistol shooting as I have shot my S&W 686 for a long time and can say I am fairly accurate with it. I just bought my first Glock 36 the other day and I just have to say it is a lot different from my 686. I need a lot more practice as I am hitting everything to the left. I seen a lot of threads about proper grip, trigger pull, etc. but in addition to this, I think I am going to get some proper training from a pro so I don't start developing any bad habbits. Lastly, I was expecting some mean recoil but to be honest, it was no worse than my friends 9mm I shot earlier in the day. The recoil on my G36 was pretty managable as I fired 150 rounds through it and no discomfort at all. I could of went on but ran out of ammo and daylight.....

Welcome! And if you are low and left you are probably jerking the trigger (assuming you're right handed).

Welcome from South Carolina...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

Rick, I do believe you are correct. I also think that I was anticipating the recoil as well. I will practice until I get it right....
