Newbie from Michigan

Hello all, this is my first post with a brief intro. My name is Paul, I live in a suburb in the Detroit area, been licensed to carry for about a year now. My primary carry gun is my Glock 22 with my trusted Ruger LCP as a back up. I am in the manufacturing industry (as alot of others are being from Detroit). I am 43 years old, and as my wife says, my interests are Guns, Golf and Guitars. That is where my free time is spent and my money is invested. Other than that, I lead a fairly uneventful life. Hoping to get some good information on here. I just joined the USCCA last month (looking back, it's very costly for what you get-not sure if I will renew at all, so far not very impressed), so I came accross this site. Thought I'd give it a try.

Welcome to DC Paul! You will definitely find a lot of good information on here. If there wasn't quality info on here, I still wouldn't be here.

I also play guitar so the same as there are dog people and cat people, my question to you is; are you a Les Paul guy or a Strat guy?

I've been carrying for a year now but still am without a Back Up Gun (BUG) so in my mind's eye, you're ahead of the game.

Thanks DefCon... definitely a strat guy......always loved the blues (own 2 Fender strats, a Fender telecaster, 2 acoustics and a Jackson DK2 Dinky to shred out to Ozzy or Eddie).

At times, I forget to carry my BUG, but I rarely leave without the G22. In Michigan, we have our pistol free zones (the usuals...schools, stadiums, bars, churches, casinos, govt. buildings and my job). Other than those, it's either with me or locked safely in truck.

I am also a Strat guy. I have two as well; a home made project & an American Standard. I also love the blues.

I should have mentioned in my other post but I'm also a Glock guy; I have a G23.

Beware. This forum will make want to get more guns.
