New guy from CT
Hi all, stumbled across this site doing a few google searches for CT and pistol permit.
I just recieved my CT pistol permit weds morning after an hour and a half wait in line... I do not own any guns myself but do have guns in the house and am excited to start my collection and begin recreation shooting. I am not sure if i want to carry or not as of yet, im still on the fence. Plan to take a trip to cabellas this weekend to get some hands on and figure out what pistol i would like to start with.
Im more into cars than anything else right now. I own a 79 Z28 camaro and a 08 subaru wrx hatch with 320 whp

Greetings, instead of Cabellas try a local gun range where you can rent different guns to shoot. Take someone with you who is proficient (don't know if you are or not that is just the legal disclaimer )

If you have never broken your gun or bled on your gun in training, you're doing it wrong!

hello from not far from Cabalas
you say you have guns in the house so I'll guess you have more than a passing familiarity with them. try also Newington Gun Exchange for a large number of used at
best prices in the area. Hoffmans is against politeness and if it is not a for sure sale, their prices are the highest of the 4. Riverview ain't great but they are pleasant people.
renting at Hoffman's is only slightly better than the cost of trading up. go figure. good luck.
