Been checking out a few forums, this one seems as if would be the best to hang around at.
Got my CCW on 8/4/06, (two days after my wife's permit arrived).
My brothers & I did a lot of small game hunting growing up in Calif., but after a short stint in the USMC (1976 to 1981) kinda got away from shooting of any kind. Been wanting a CCW for the last decade or so, but pretty much had to wait until moving to a state (AZ) that will issue without too much hassle. I am going to miss the abiity to open carry when we move to Texas, fortunately TX will honor my permit.
We do try to get to the range at least once per month, hopefully we'll be able to set up our own range on our property after the move.

Welcome from Idaho!!! Lived in Arizona for the first 30 years of my life. Too many people. Been in Idaho now for 32 years and love it.
You might want to double check Texas law. You may not be able to carry on your Az. license if you become a resident of Texas.
