I am living in the state of Florida and have been here since 1995. To keep my Govt. job I took a transfer from Alameda CA. NAS to Jax FL. NAS and have since retired with 42 years. Of course 10 yrs. of this was Air Force active duty to include "Vietnam". I am now, just not as young and strong as I was, so I want a Florida carry permit!
My problem is that in Calif. I made a mistake some 25 Yrs ago and ended up with probation for a battery charge. So many yrs have lapsed that I don't have copy of document issued by the probation office evidencing completion of said probation and without it I cannot apply as I am unable to comply with the Florida license application requirement of question #9.
I was hopeing someone could lead me in the right direction so I can attain this document and apply for my FL. permit.
Thanks and "God Bless"

Contact the Court where the charge was handled, they should be able to provide this information, for a fee. Oh, and welcome to the DC Forum from Delaware!

Welcome from Virginia.
+1 on what Hiram25 said. The court that handled your case should be able to provide you with the paperwork needed. Good luck.
