Now, if I could meet a woman like that around here. ... LOL. My Ex was a great shot, but she didn't like guns at all.... those two things never seemed to fit together to me.

What type of gun ? Since you mention bears............

Mine is a .357 Ruger GP100 with HP bear loads, or a 30-30 lever action rifle.
For snakes, it's overkill. So, if I'm not where there are bears (Colo , NM, Wyo, etc.), then I carry whatever I feel like at that point, or the .357 with a different round for snakes and some of the aggressive coyotes we've seem to be having around.
I carry my Glock 19 (9mm) everywhere 15+1.......these are black bears, I'm steady under pressure and yes, husband of 38 years does appreciate me LOL !! The rifles mainly sit in the closet anymore.

Thanks for the welcome and best of luck finding that Kansas woman.........she's out there, I just know it !

Welcome...or perhaps..."nice to meet ya!"... would be more appropriate. A lot of good info here.

Excellent recommendation and one I stumbled on last night. So for me it would be riding to cross draw - I'm going to consider this one.

Welcome..great to "see" another lady gun owner here on DC. Plenty of good holster makers out there. Give Jeff at Hays Holsters(and a DC member)a call and see if he can build a nice cross-draw for you. Have a great IWB he made for my SP101.
