Female Colorado Horse Rancher with Glock 19

I live on a remote ranch and carry for rattlesnakes, the occasional bear and personal safety due to remote location, unusual people these days and no cell signal out here.

Previously I had more experience with rifles and shotguns but the last few years have started using a handgun. I started with a revolver but recently switched to a Glock 19. Great improvement.

I'm looking for the appropriate forum to help me find some cross draw holster choices.
I'll start looking but just wanted to say howdy.

Glad to see you carry. Understand the rattlesnakes and remote locations.
Now, if I could meet a woman like that around here. ... LOL. My Ex was a great shot, but she didn't like guns at all.... those two things never seemed to fit together to me.

What type of gun ? Since you mention bears............

Mine is a .357 Ruger GP100 with HP bear loads, or a 30-30 lever action rifle.
For snakes, it's overkill. So, if I'm not where there are bears (Colo , NM, Wyo, etc.), then I carry whatever I feel like at that point, or the .357 with a different round for snakes and some of the aggressive coyotes we've seem to be having around.

    Welcome from Michigan!
If you have never broken your gun or bled on your gun in training, you're doing it wrong!

    Thanks !
Read your bio and mine is very similar except for 7000 feet and 38 years with my husband. Oh and one more thing, currently we are dogless as both our Rotties died of old age the same year and we are getting ready to find some more dogs in the spring.
