Wow, what an awesome new job!

Glad you're healing well and things are going much better for you!!
It's not about the caliber you carry, it's about how you USE it.

You'll love the 229 in 357 Sig and you can change the BBL as well to 40 cal. The 556 is being produced on a 5 axis machine right now.
The prototye pix ar e diferent from what it really looks like (I've seen the raw material in the recievers........The guys who are milling the lowers, are FANTASTIC machinists...........ya just might want to look into the 556 SWAT gun (1700.00 retail...........it's really nice..............but the other guns can accept a shorter/longer BBL as your needs dictate.......I really don't think you're going to see that cheapo AR type collapable stock either...........more like a folding skeletal one, or fixed one looks best on it.. p8roit, have you ever visited the SIGForum? I think there is a thread a week on that question. If I remember it was also the "winner" in a pole that SIG (Yes, the company) had up for awhile.

Later: I was over there and the poll is still up. 51% of all responding want SIG's next handgun to be in 10mm!
Yep, I'm over there too (different screen name, wouldn't let me have this one). I've taken the poll too and have checked out the threads. I just figured I'd try the shotgun approach.

I'd sure like to see one, or at least see a conversion barrel for it.
Thanks. I'd be interested in hearing as to whether or not they are seriously considering it.

Yes, I've sort of been waiting to see the "final" product. What is showing on the SIG Company web site seems a different than the pictures that came out of the last SHOT show. And of course speculation is rampant over at SIGForum......

Welcome back Bob! Glad to hear you're on the mend, hopefully you'll continue to improve as time goes by. I've still got to read your post of the ordeal but figured (as we all did) that part of the reason you were absent was avoiding questions on the advice of a lawyer.

On a lighter note, congrats on the SIGARMS job, it sounds like playtime with a paycheck! Glad you've stayed on at KTP as I sent them a copy of my C&R license as soon as it came in. There are a few little toys I'd like to pick up as soon as funds allow and I'd feel safer knowing you could check them out first.

Stay in touch and keep posting those pics buddy!
    Jack
