    Hello from VA

I retired from the Navy in '08. I'm a Computer Systems Engineer for a law firm in Norfolk, VA and I live in Chesapeake. I'm recently divorced, have four kids (2 grown and 2 young ones). I'm lucky to have an indoor range at the LGS right down the street from my office. That makes it easy to go shooting on my lunch breaks. I have a Ruger LCP and a Glock 23 Gen 3. I have about $300 in accessories and improvements to my G23 including holsters, Truglo TFO sights, and a trigger job. I have a CC license for Virginia.

Besides shooting, I like bass fishing, MMA fights, Modern Warfare 2/3 on PS3, and just about anything outdoors. Unlike most computer geeks, I am rarely in front of a computer while I'm off work.

Thanks, archer51. My employer has an office on E. Cary Street in Richmond. I had a scare outside the parking garage around 3 AM a while back after doing some work after hours. I applied for my CC right after that.

I avoid downtown Richmond when I can, unfortunately my work sometimes takes me down there. Luckily my employer is firearms friendly. 3 of the 4 owners are permit carriers and don't say anything about me carrying.

    Welcome from South Carolina...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
