Greetings
I live just outside NYC in a bordering jurisdiction in NJ. work in Manhattan I shoot mainly pistols, have a few NRA certfications, as well as a CMP certification. I'm not allowed to CCW although I wish I could. I've enjoyed reading ths forum for quite sometime and am not starting to post. Great threads and I feel like I'll enjoy my time here. Happy Christmas to all.

I used to live in McClean virginia for about a year (late 2005 to early 2007). I miss the gun laws back there.
CMP is the civilian Marksmanship Program. They require a training course for classic military rifle and it allows you to buy things like M-1 garands directly from the government. That being said, I never bought the rifles! NJ is too much of an admin pain in the butt.

Welcome from South Carolina...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
