retired Army but still working. I had put my weapons away. I gave up hunting DNR and state had just taken all the fun out of it even hunting on my own land was becoming to much of a hassle. Sport shooting we all did at home had faded away.
Events in the last year and a half have opened my eyes to the need to protect our self, my false dreams of putting my weapons down and retiring in peace were just that, a dream.
While visiting the VA medical center in Madison WI I was taken to the the ground and beat by Madison police . For some politics of theirs that at the time had nothing to do with me.
I have opened the vault of over 40 years of weapons bough, inherited and collected started shooting again. It did not take me long to see I was not the only one.
I have in the last year had people I know that would never touch a firearm come to me and ask what they should buy and ask for help learning to use one.
Strange how this is flowing through so many. My wife while long sense discharged is a Marine she is shooting again.
I had really hoped that my weapons would have stayed locked up until I passed them on, but looks like that is not going to happen.
My hobby is riding Even in the cold If I can get my Harley out I ride, lot of time to make up for and I do my best at it.

Freedom doesn't come free. It is bought and paid for by the lives and blood of our men and women in uniform.

From one "Top" to another...Welcome from South Carolina...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
