greetings from tempe (home of the sun devils)

    hey y'all,
i've been lurking for a while on this site, i found it through a link on the s&w forum i think. i figured it was time to put my head on the block and introduce myself. i'm relatively new to the gun world. i have been studying chinese kenpo for some time and figured that in the event i ever had to disarm someone, i didn't know enough about firearms to not accidentally shoot someone. so began my quest. until roughly a year and a half ago my only firearms experience was with a .22 rifle and a 16guage shotgun in boy scouts. i never even earned my rifle and shotgun merit badge. anyways as one friend put it i caught the bug. i've since taken a couple of classes, bought a couple of guns, gotten my ccw, and look forward to continuing my training. although i have no military experience i have several relatives who have either served or are currently serving. y'all who have put your ass on the line for the rest of us have my eternal thanks and respect. i play the guitar and attempt to sing and am overly opinionated when it comes to music. i'm rambling now so anyways i look forward to learning from the more experienced out there. thanks for taking the time to read this. -dave
