I just took and passed my CCW class. The class was worth the price of admission! Had 25 people in the class and 2 people failed. We used the range guns to qualify. The requirements were 15 out of 20 shots from 21 feet away had to hit the center of mass (numbered ovals) using a semi-auto and a revolver .22 pistol. The class was 3 hours to get everyone through the shooting portion and what seemed like 5 hours of Law school if we ever discharged our CCW. We were told in our class we are lucky because Missouri has some of the best CCW laws in the nation.
I currently have a Ruger SR9 and LCP w/CT. Looking to add a Glock 27 in the next few weeks. Looking forward to learning the ins and outs of CC from the guys and gals that have been here for a while. I belong to other forums and will use the search feature before asking rookie questions.

Welcome from South Carolina...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

Welcome to the forum! You're lucky Gephart is not still around. STL and STL County used to have some of the worst weapons laws on earth.
When I used to live there, MO allowed open carry, but the STL DA and the local judges decided that if any part of the weapon was concealed, it was a concealed weapon. They interpreted that to mean a weapon in a holster was concealed. They also determined that a weapon held in ones hand was also concealed, because part of the weapon could not be seen. Talk about a no-win situation!
Boy, have things changed since I left STL and Dickie Gephart and his cronies have left.
