Welcome from Southwestern Virginia. Not sure of the price of those. Seems like they would be fun. If you're just wanting a .22 to plink with, the Marlin 60 (tube fed, semi auto, and very accurate), or the Ruger 10/22 (a favorite of many) are both good choices. The Marlin 60 can be had very inexpensively. If you're really wanting an AR15 style rifle in .22, I think the S&W M&P15 .22 can't be beat, but will cost you a bit more. Just hunt around and find the best price you can. Check out BudsGunShop.com. They usually have pretty good prices and offer free shipping in most cases to your FFL.

I'm with them on 10/22. Easy on the wallet, you can do so much with them. Hundreds of manufacturers of accessories. And I just like Ruger. Own more ruger than anything else.... If what you see on the internet doesn't have a tactical look you like... search out some stocks... they get ridiculous MZ-1022-PLUS.jpg

If it's a Cheap AR Style your looking for take a look at the Mossberg Tactical 22. I can only say they are very low in price. I cant speak for how they perform. Maybe someone has some firsthand experience with this firearm. If not maybe you LCS has one you can try.
Oh yeah and Welcome
Welcome. Another option could be a 9mm carbine.

If you are willing to spend $450, save another $200 and buy the S&W M&P AR

Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
