Hello
Hello from Western NC.
I'm pretty new to CCing...well, firearms in general. Took a CC class just to get a little familiar with guns and ended up getting really interested in protecting myself and shooting at the range. After renting & trying all sorts of pistols, I bought a Glock 19. Apparently the rumors are true about guns and holsters being like rabbits because a few weeks later a Glock 26 and a drawer full of holsters suddenly appeared at my house.
Anyway, I'm learning and having fun.

Welcome to the forum, read through all the stickies and the posts in the reference section.
Might be a good idea to take a basic pistol class. Or find a wise old guy that can be a mentor in gun handling, cleaning and safety.
I have been around guns all my life, sometimes things that we take for granted or as second mature are given too fleeting of coverage for those that are uninitiated.

It’s a very interesting hobby that has a different second use it. Unlike building ships in bottles you can defend yourself with this one

if you are interested in self defense find someone who has experience defending himself successfully with handguns..all of the other stuff is conjecture and theory...nothing beats combat for learning defense

Thanks for the welcome, everyone.
I'm certainly looking forward to taking more classes and meeting people that are willing to share their knowledge on cleaning, handling, self defense, etc.
