New member here and first time gun owner all in one day
Good morning to you all, Like the title says, I made 2 choices today, both will forever change my life. I'm a new member here from central Florida, who has purchased his first new gun today,a XD9sc. I took the concealed class a few weeks ago and I have my appt to apply for my CWP in a few weeks. I've been reading here on the site for about a month or so and so look forward to learning something new every time I come on, which I have so far. I appreciate the 2 cents and expertise of you all who answer any of the posts that I might put up.

Welcome. Lots to learn from a lot of folks on here!
First thing to learn is 10:42pm isn't morning ;)
I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

Welcome Aboard. There is a lot of great advice to be had here. Just take some of it (very little, thankfully - and the Mods usually get on that) with a couple of grains of salt.
The Moderators are excellent here (no, not butt smacking). Lots of other boards get a bit hairy, this one is well maintained. Excellent cross-repersentation of society and skill level amungst the posters.

The situation will NEVER BE THE WAY YOU WANT, it WILL BE THE WAY IT IS. You must be FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO ADAPT and just "DEAL WITH IT".

Welcome from South Carolina...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
