New American CHL holder from Spring TX
Good day all,
Randy from Spring TX. Have had my CHL in Texas for about a year now. Glad to have the right and the freedom, now the battle to keep that blessing from the 2nd Amendment.
I carry several sidearms depending on what my mood is. I always have my LCP in a pocket. Most of the time I carry either my SW442 in A Fobus paddle or a Glock 17 in a Comp-Tac paddle. I also rotate in a Kimber UCII in 45ACP in a Comp-Tac paddle or a Sig P220 Carry in 45ACP in a Comp-Tac paddle or a Rock Island 1911 in 9MM in a Comp-Tac paddle. Tried getting comfortable with the IWB holsters but just couldn't get there so I am a paddler.
I have a felt responsibility to further my knowledge of safe hand-gunning and I attend defensive handgun training on Thursday nights. The classes are taught by Aaron Roberts from the TV show 'Handguns'. This gentlemen is a great teacher and knows his business. He is all business with a flair for comedy. I have found out a lot of things that I was just really, really bad at and am now correcting.
Well I am glad to be here and visit with you folks.

Welcome from WA state.
I grew up in Spring. Neighborhood by the name of Cypresswood.
Left in 1992. Google Earth suggests that the town has changed mightily.
My high school, Klein Oak, was in the middle of farmland when I attended. Looks fairly urban now.

Welcome from Missouri.

Welcome from South Carolina...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.
