Hello from California
Just got my permit a couple of weeks back, something I never thought I'd see in Sacramento county! I had to schedule the initial appointment about 9 months out and the background check took just over a month, so all told the process took nearly a year (and several hundred $$!). But I'm thrilled to have made it. My primary interest here is to learn from others... how to carry safely, comfortably, legally, and properly concealed! I know the last one is a given, but I'm somewhat tall and small framed, so finding the right combination of gear has proven a bit tricky. But I'm figuring it out, in part with the help of this forum... so thank you!

Welcome aboard and good luck.
I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

Welcome, clan.des.tin, from Long Beach.
Americans understood the right of self-preservation as permitting a citizen to repel force by force
when the intervention of society... may be too late to prevent an injury.

Welcome from Missouri. This is a great place for the exchange of ideas, information, tactics and even humor.
