Defiantly do not let someone else's opinion make your decisions for you. Find what fits that you are comfortable with.
Also keep in mind Colorado (except Denver) is very open carry friendly, I have OCed everyday since it warmed up and have not had a single cross look, even when I venture into the liberal artsy-fartsy section of Grand Junction. Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
