Love the website
New guy from NW Ohio here.
Just signed up for CCW class this fall, and doing research brought me here. Quite impressed with the wealth of information!
Twenty five-ish years ago, when my children were born I did something foolish and sold all my handguns (in retrospect a good safe would have been wiser) and lost all interest
in firearms. Finally, I have a new appreciation for them and after a recent break in of my home, a desire for added protection and peace of mind. Plus, range time is so
damn fun.
Two that I sold back then, and miss the most, were a Colt 1911 Govt. and a Super Blackhawk. So in a way I'm replacing them in spirit anyways, at least by caliber. A month ago I
picked up a HK USP-T in 45acp, and am now looking hard for a Redhawk w/4" barrel, possibly in 45 long colt (close enough to the 44 mag?).
EDC I think will be a HK USP 45c, but I have a little time to consider that.
Anyways, I wanted to say 'hey' and am really happy to have joined the community!

Greetings and welcome!
My dad sold his Colt Commander back in the late '70s due to economic hardship and said that it was one of the things he regrets the most. My brother was kind enough to buy him one last year for his birthday.

I don't carry a gun to look for or start a fight. I carry one to finish a fight I never wanted to be in.

I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.
